ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains professionalism and conducts self as a role model, serving as a resource for the other retail pharmacy partners.
- Staff primarily as a retail pharmacist but may be required to work in other functions of the retail pharmacy operations in support of the department.
- Is an expert retail pharmacist who relies on skills of comprehensive knowledge and experience.
- Takes ownership of one long-term retail pharmacy project assuring that the information, data is carried through to all the retail pharmacies.
- Maintains practice by ongoing professional literature review, continuing education and self-evaluation.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy program
Licensed in the state of practice
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer experience, including internet and email.
Strong accuracy skills
Excellent interpretive and analytical skills for pharmaceutical calculations for drug dosage, IV rates, etc.
LEVEL OF SUPERVISION
Some independent judgment is required, but alternatives are limited by standard practices or procedures.
SUPERVISES
Indirectly supervises technicians. This position is involved in the recruitment and orientation process and provides performance feedback and input for performance evaluation purposes. May implement coaching, counseling, and corrective action when needed. Supervisory responsibilities are conducted in accordance with directives of management, the organization policies, and applicable laws.
PAY RANGE:
