SUMMARY: Responsible for the purchase, management, and control of all supplies, equipment, and furnishings from acquisition to disposition.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum of three years purchasing experience required.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: None.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable. Note: (other duties may be assigned, deleted or changed at any time, at the discretion of management, formally, or informally, either verbally or in writing).
1.Supervise the procurement of all supplies, equipment, and furniture through centralized purchasing process.
2.Meet with vendor sales representatives.
3.Research products and solicit bids as needed.
4.Negotiate and administer vendor contracts.
5.Evaluate products and services received. Contact vendors to correct deficiencies.
6.Develop and adhere to effective policies and procedures for the management of all supplies and materials. Communicate purchasing policies and procedures to all users.
7.Establish an ongoing cost containment program.
8.Conduct periodic inventories.
9.Dispose of all excess equipment and supplies to the best advantage of the company.10.
Generate appropriate reports as requested.
11.Participate in budget development as requested.
12.Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Accounting, Contracts, and Facilities departments.
13.Conduct performance evaluations for department.
14.Maintain Master Book on all current MSDS sheets for all departments on chemicals used in the Clinics.
