The selected candidate will become a part of a dynamic and team driven construction company.  We are one of the nation’s largest contractors specializing in gas extraction, leachate collection, and operations and maintenance services for landfills. Responsibilities:  Process Monitoring & Control: Operate, adjust, and monitor valves, pumps, motors, digesters, and filtration equipment. Testing & Analysis: Collect wastewater samples from influent and effluent flows and perform chemical and biological tests for pH, chlorine residual, suspended solids, and B.O.D.. Data Recording: Document gauge and meter readings and maintain logs of daily flows, chemical usage, and test results. Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on pumps, piping, and chemical feeders. Clean filters, sludge beds, and tanks. Regulatory Compliance: Follow stringent environmental and safety regulations to ensure the plant meets local, state, and federal standards. Emergency Response: Address plant alarms, power outages, and equipment malfunctions. Shift: Days, 40+ hours weekly Company Car: Only with a clean driving record Starting Pay: $100K/yr   Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or GED, with vocational or technical training being highly advantageous, class D waste water plant license for the state of MO Skills Needed: Mechanical aptitude, reading comprehension, strong problem-solving, and baseline knowledge of algebra and chemistry. Physical Demands: Work can be physically demanding. Operators must often lift heavy objects (frequently 20 to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs), stoop, crawl, climb, and tolerate variable weather conditions. Work Environment: Shifts often involve weekends, nights, and overtime, as facilities must be monitored around the clock.
