Position Summary:
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, facility systems, and infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, welding, PLC troubleshooting, and facility maintenance experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment & Preventive Maintenance
- Maintain lubrication and routine servicing of all production equipment and machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete assigned work orders
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Understand and follow manufacturer specifications for equipment operation and repair
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machine shop tools safely and effectively
Electrical & Controls Troubleshooting
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic and control components including:
- Photo eyes
- Motor starters
- Relays
- Limit switches
- Proximity sensors
- Timers
- Solenoids
- Servo drives
- Frequency inverters
- Linear drives
- Tachometers and encoders
- Troubleshoot PLC systems, communication modules, and field bus systems such as:
- ASI
- Profibus
- DeviceNet
- Ethernet communications
- Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V, including transformers, branch circuits, lighting systems, and wiring methods
Facility & Infrastructure Support
- Maintain and operate HVAC/refrigeration systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and building management systems
- Support facility construction, renovation, line relocation, and infrastructure upgrade projects
- Ensure compliance with lease obligations, city/state codes, and safety regulations
- Support after-hours facility needs and emergency maintenance as required
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Safety & Welding
- Follow all safety procedures including:
- Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO)
- Arc Flash safety
- PPE requirements
- Identify and eliminate equipment safety hazards
- Repair and modify equipment using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
Job Requirements:
- Strong industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, electrical systems, and controls
- Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and facility systems preferred
- Competency with welding, hand tools, and machine shop equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Ability to work scheduled shifts and overtime as needed
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
