This position is responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of alarm security systems. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and performing system checks in accordance to fire code;identifying code and system deficienciesand preparing accurate and timely inspection reports.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install or update burglar alarms, IT cameras and access control systems in commercial buildings.
- Test and repair existing alarm/IT cameras and access controls systems to the prescribed standards
- Perform routine inspections
- Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers equipment as needed
- Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
- Inspect and maintain company truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation
- Perform other duties assigned by management
Education & Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of two years' experience in security alarm/access control industry
- State issued TST License highly desired
- Experience with commercial systems preferred
- Display knowledge of principles, practices, codes and regulations related to the work
- Interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations without supervision
- Must have valid driver's license and must pass a motor vehicle driving check
Other Duties:
- Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Industrial, Commercial, & Residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels, and comfort with working at heights.
- Mostly a physically demanding role. Most of the daily demand is standing and walking stairs and climbing ladders.
- May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day.
Pay:
- $28 to $40 DOE & fire alarm licensing.
