Description

Be a Part of Something Amazing

In between supporting a global sales force (that we call "demonstrators") and creating the world's best stamps, ink, and paper, we carve out a little time for parties, perks, and basking in the glory of an amazing work/life balance.

Sound like something you could get behind? Good. Because we're looking for people just like you - who are good at what they do and are passionate about helping others.

Did We Mention the Perks?

Here are a few of the other perks we offer:

  • A wicked-awesome benefits package (go ahead and compare)
  • A Friday dress code every day of the week (dust off those jeans)
  • Extreme crafting experiences (totally optional, but give it a try)
  • Paid personal time off...like, a lot of it (see "work/life balance" above)
  • Tuition assistance and 401(k) programs (company match, baby!)

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Exemplify Stampin' Up!'s core values: we care about people first, we act with courage, we better our best, and we own it.
  2. Build a high-performing, engaged team of SDETs and QA engineers who consistently meet expectations and grow in technical capability and career (LMA).
  3. Shift quality left so defects are prevented rather than found late — quality and testability are designed into the product early, and development shares ownership of quality.
  4. Deliver a scalable automation capability that gives the organization fast, reliable confidence to release — with E2E, integration, and API coverage that keeps pace with the product and runs continuously in CI/CD.
  5. Raise the technical bar of the team through hands-on leadership — as a player-coach whose direct contributions to frameworks, code review, and testing lift the quality and craft of the whole team.
  6. Establish quality practices across functional, integration, API, E2E, performance, scalability, reliability, data, and regression testing, with clear standards for what should be tested at each layer, when it should be tested, and how risk should guide coverage decisions. Grow a bench of stronger engineers and a durable quality-first culture, so that excellence and a quality mindset extend beyond the QA team into engineering as a whole.
  7. Lead defect escape analysis, flaky-test reduction, root-cause reviews, and quality metric reporting, converting late-cycle defects and production issues into stronger automated coverage, clearer requirements, improved engineering practices, and more confident release decisions. Drive quality outcomes across teams by partnering with analysts, stakeholders, product, and development on timely, effective testing, smooth system integration, and responsive production support.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information sciences, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. A track record of building, coaching, and developing high-performing technical teams, with a genuine passion for mentoring engineers, strengthening accountability, and growing technical capability.
  3. Hands-on automation engineering depth, including proficiency in a modern programming language and automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, WinAppDriver, or similar frameworks.
  4. Proven ability to define quality strategy and automation architecture across multiple teams, products, or platforms, including the test pyramid, framework standards, test data management, quality gates, and CI/CD integration. Experience in an Azure DevOps and .NET/Microsoft environment is preferred.
  5. Experience with API, integration, E2E, regression, performance, scalability, reliability, data-validation, and production-readiness testing for high-volume, distributed systems. SaaS and payment systems experience is a plus.
  6. Strong SQL skills and data-validation experience. Familiarity with data automation tools such as iCEDQ or Informatica is a plus.
  7. Experience applying AI-assisted or agentic quality workflows to improve outcomes such as test generation, automation maintenance, coverage analysis, failure triage, defect analysis, and root-cause investigation.
  8. Deep understanding of SDLC and agile/scrum practices, with a modern shift-left quality-engineering philosophy, strong stakeholder partnership, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to use quality metrics such as defect escape rate, automation reliability, flaky-test rate, CI signal quality, test coverage by risk area, and release-readiness indicators to improve engineering outcomes.
