Job Summary:Â
This full-time Fieldman position will be responsible for the operation and normal upkeep and maintenance of the equipment that gathers, conditions, measures and handles gas, oil, and production water. Ensure all facility and equipment problems/issues are addressed in a timely fashion to maintain the integrity of gathering facilities and systems for all its customers.  The work environment is out-of-doors in facilities from small to large in ambient conditions, including high wind, dust, ambient heat and cold, and noise.Â
The Fieldman will work independently and with other personnel to maintain and operate equipment and processes within our Delaware Basin Midstream Operations. This position is located in Western Midstream’s Delaware Basin as a member of the Delaware Basin team in Kermit, TXÂ

QualificationsÂ
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in oil and gas production facilities with 5 years preferredÂ
- A basic understanding of oil and gas operations and working knowledge of natural gas process equipment is considered a significant plusÂ
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and OutlookÂ
- Mature, professional and self-initiating individual who will deliver strong customer appreciationÂ
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy objectsÂ
- Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperaturesÂ
- Strong time management and mechanical skills requiredÂ
- Ability to learn on the flyÂ
- Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environmentÂ
- Strong written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Successful candidate must have residency within a 60-mile radius of Kermit, TexasÂ
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position

ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulationsÂ
- Conduct dew point testing, maintenance and monitoring of glycol dehydration systemsÂ
- Execute start up, shut down and operating procedures for compressors, dehydration units, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves and alarmsÂ
- Perform minor maintenance on compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping and valvesÂ
- Compile daily production reports including downtime, abnormal gas volumes, condensation and unaccountable lossesÂ
- Communicate with operations supervisors, field, plant and maintenance employees, clerical staff, producers, operators, landowners and contractorsÂ
- Perform or assist in performing construction and pipeline repairs and installationÂ
- Perform on-call and call out duties to maintain system integrity, acceptable facility run time and emergency response after regular business hours which may require carrying a communication deviceÂ

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Â

Certifications/Licenses:
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle

- The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.   Â

Work Schedule:Â
- Work schedule will be 7 days on 7 off.  Weekends, callouts and overtime may be required. WES retains the right to change and set schedules – should future needs require a schedule change. Â
