The Director of Human Resources will be an innovative leader and business partner who will closely collaborate with key organizational leaders and C-Suite to ensure that what happens in the workforce is always connected to its impact on business results. The successful candidate will create collaboration and consensus across the senior leadership team.

Who you'll report to: President and Chief Operating Officer

 

Role Purpose: The Director of Human Resources (HR) oversees all aspects of human resource management practices and processes. They are responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. The Director will lead the HR team to provide comprehensive HR support to all departments, ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent.

 

What you'll do:

  • Leadership:
    • Manage a high performing Team: talent acquisition, HR Manager, talent development.
    • Champion initiatives that promote engagement, retention, and alignment with our values.
    • Drive and manage organizational change to support business transformation and scaling efforts.
    • Identify and integrate HR best practices across functions and business units to strengthen our organizational effectiveness.
  • Culture & Engagement:
    • Champion BlueGrace values and lead initiatives to foster an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative workplace culture.
    • Drive engagement, conduct pulse checks on culture, and enhance initiatives that promote a positive work environment.
  • Talent Acquisition and Retention:
    • Oversee recruitment and selection processes to attract and retain high-quality candidates.
    • Design and implement employee retention strategies to reduce turnover and foster a positive working environment.
  • Employee Development and Training:
    • Design and implement effective training and development programs for all employees.
    • Monitor training programs to ensure effectiveness and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Performance Management:
    • Develop and implement performance management systems to enhance employee productivity and performance.
  • HR Compliance and Legal Management:
    • Ensure compliance with labor regulations and legal requirements across all locations.
    • Manage employee disciplinary processes and legal compliance issues.
  • HR Operations, Administration and Total Rewards:
    • Oversee HR operations including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
    • Robust experience in total rewards and benefits selections.
    • Implement compensation and benefits plans aligned with company policies and business objectives.
    • Must be able to prepare and process payroll as you will be the backup of the HR Manager.
  • What you'll need:

    • 5 to 7+ years of proven experience as an HR Director or other senior HR executive role.
    • Strong knowledge of HR functions (talent management, compensation, benefits, recruitment, etc.).
    • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • In-depth understanding of labor legislation and HR best practices.
    • A plus:
      • PE experience
      • Due diligence experience
      • Experience in leading a team in Mexico
    • Excellent leadership abilities and strategic thinking skills.
    • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Compensation & benefits, talent management, and business partner experience required.
    • Experience working in a high-growth startup environment is desired.
    • Experience in shaping innovative business-focused talent programs.

    • Knowledge of and experience with ADP WorkForce Now (HRIS)
    • Knowledge of Total Rewards administration.
    • Reporting and analytics skills, plus Excel knowledge required.
    • Experience in managing senior-level stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
    • Active listener, able to see all sides of an issue and balance policy/process with solutions mindset.
    • Ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and action.
    • Demonstrated experience in creating, improving, and streamlining processes.
    • Understanding of how to lead, communicate and implement organizational change.
    • Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
