Responsible for management and control of all inventory products at multiple locations and ensures that all processes and procedures surrounding inventory control are properly executed.

 

Essential Functions

  • Establishes, reviews and maintains appropriate levels for all stock products
  • Orders all stock products for location
  • Establishes cycle counting schedule and performs cycle counts of stock material
  • Works to find root cause of cycle count variances and to establish methods to keep problems from reoccurring
  • Coordinates transfer of stock material between multiple locations
  • Inspects and determines status of material returned by customers
  • Assists in coordinating vendor returns as needed
  • Assists with semi-annual physical inventory and works to investigate root cause of variances
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all stock products and their pricing programs
  • Identifies and manages surplus and obsolete inventory
  • Proactively works to reduce and manage this inventory
  • Other duties that may need to be assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years operational staff position experience
  • Microsoft Office experience required

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Must possess good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Effective time management skills 
  • Experience with Comsense preferred
  • Knowledge of the door and hardware industry a plus

 

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.  There may also be long periods of standing in a warehouse environment.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position will also work in a warehouse environment.
