About the Role:

The Mechanical Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems meet rigorous quality and safety standards throughout the design, manufacturing, and installation phases. This position is responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures that guarantee system reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry codes and regulations. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC system design, quality control, or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC codes, standards, and regulations such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, and local building codes.
  • Experience with quality management systems and inspection/testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with VRF/VRV systems (e.g., DVM S, DVM S2, or similar platforms) 
  • Background working with an HVAC manufacturer or in product support engineering 
  • Experience with HVAC commissioning and performance testing.
  • Familiarity with industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or HVAC-specific design and analysis tools.
  • Lean Six Sigma or other quality improvement certifications.
  • Previous experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial HVAC projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control protocols for HVAC mechanical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Conduct detailed inspections and testing of HVAC components and systems during manufacturing and installation phases to identify defects or deviations.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and contractors to resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports, to verify accuracy and completeness.
