Job Description:

Position Description:

Manages, monitors, and responds to multiple requests for preservation and collection of electronically stored information (ESI), including emails, instant messages, electronic documents, call recording, and other electronic data sources. Monitors and maintains accurate metrics and detailed tracking information related to preservation and collection efforts in the workflow system. Contributes to the collection of ESI data to meet the regulatory requirements. Ensures accuracy of the data preserved or collected and confirms that the search yielded the desired results. Delivers data accurately in a timely fashion, and in large corporate environments. Provides technical expertise and assists in application problems, new releases, new applications, systems, and infrastructure. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Defines enterprise-level support strategies in systems services.
  • Develops and implements best practices for systems support.
  • Advises senior leadership on support operations and service improvements.
  • Mentors junior analysts.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple divisional initiatives.
  • Develops innovative solutions to enhance support efficiency and service delivery.
  • Recommends and implements ESI collection processes and procedures to facilitate the ESI preservation process.
  • Defines the processes and policies for team operations to improve compliance in regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in the development of tools used to facilitate operational procedures.
  • Completes technical service requests.
  • Drives incident management and resolutions, and identifies root cause and coordination of fixes.
  • Responsible for the creation and documentation of disaster recovery procedures.
  • Creates contingency plans covering key areas of vulnerability within the system.
  • Coordinates systems installation and configuration of systems installation and infrastructure changes.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of system diagrams and operational procedures.
  • Develops tools to automate the collection and analysis of operational data.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Systems Services and Support Analyst (or closely related occupation) providing eDiscovery support across the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) lifecycle, within a legal and regulatory environment. 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Systems Services and Support Analyst (or closely related occupation) providing eDiscovery support across the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) lifecycle, within a legal and regulatory environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing in the full EDRM lifecycle, which includes performing data analysis across multiple eDiscovery platforms and  performing quality control; managing defensible production protocols for litigation and regulatory matters, using MS Purview Modern UX Premium, Global Relay (a WORM-Compliant Retention platform), and EnCase Information Assurance; and providing eDiscovery support across the EDRM lifecycle within a legal and regulatory environment, using tools -- Microsoft Purview (Modern UX), Global Relay, and EnCase Information Assurance.  
  • DE conducting data analysis using industry-standard eDiscovery platforms -- -- Global Relay, Purview Modern UX Premium (M365), Amazon Web Services (AWS), EnCase Information Assurance, Trident, Clearwell, and EverLaw; and managing data  and governance, including retention policies, archiving, structured and unstructured data handling, and integration of cloud-based data sources (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams). 
  • DE managing and supporting complex, multi-jurisdictional eDiscovery projects, regulatory investigations, and class actions by handling diverse types of ESI across various data sources and formats, using MS Purview Modern UX Premium, Global Relay, EnCase Information Assurance, data processing, exception handling, metadata validation, review metrics, and case reporting and quality control reporting. 
  • DE developing SOPs and training programs in eDiscovery best practices, handling regulatory investigations and enforcement matters (including FINRA and SEC cases), and managing ESI collection, review, and production in compliance with U.S. FRCP, GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
