Job Description

As a Security Officer Driving Patrol in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant activity and sharing information with site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, stock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor customer and visitor activity, assist with access and crowd flow at entry and exit points, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by observing high-traffic areas, responding to alarms and calls for service, and following post orders related to retail operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
