About the Role:

The Driver position at HoneyTree Early Learning Centers, Inc. (HTELC) is a critical role responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of children from local schools. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia driver's license (Regular Van Drivers) 
  • CDL with a School Bus/Passenger Endorsement (CDL Buses)
  • Previous experience operating a large capacity vehicle
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret maps and GPS navigation systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in childcare environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform vehicle pre-trip troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes using maps and GPS technology to meet schedules.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of children.
  • Communicate effectively with management to coordinate transportation activities.

Clear driving record, company insurability, background checks are all required, Must be available Monday through Friday during the school year.
