ROLE PROFILE
A manufacturing scheduler creates and manages manufacturing schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of orders, tasks, and projects within budget. Key responsibilities include balancing production capacity, materials, and labor; collaborating with various departments; monitoring progress; and resolving conflicts. Essential skills for this role include strong organizational and communication abilities, proficiency in scheduling and ERP software, and problem-solving capabilities.Â
 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiate quotation process, develop and improve internal and as necessary, external supplier relationships and performance.
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POâs) for materials, services, contractors.
- Plan and manage material logistics to ensure 100% onâtime delivery for planned projects, maintenance work, and outside work.
- Analyze operations needs with respect to capacity planning, maintenance, facilities and stakeholder requirements.
- Maintain adequate levels of stocked and controlled components to meet anticipated demand, adjusting order review points to minimize shortages or overages.
- Take ownership of all scheduling related processes and procedure documentation.
- Take direction from Master Scheduler to plan and coordinate applicable schedules.
- Review production specifications and identify and report plant capacity and health constraints.
- Monitor workflow and schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, logistics, and MRO to develop and execute schedules holistically to entire plant needs.
- Develop effective scheduling process to achieve all plant objectives.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, logistics, and MRO to develop and maintain scheduling parameters.
- Collaborate with MRO to order and stock adequate materials to avoid any parts shortages and overstock or unnecessary inventory.
- Other duties as assigned as assigned by your direct leadership

ABILITIES
- Comply with all safety regulations.
- Provide scheduling of emergency repairs of production equipment during production and schedule maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Critically think through problems and take quick action to resolve.
- Schedule regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Maintain clean and orderly (5s) working areas.
- Accurately review downtime records and escalate properly any wrong data.
- Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with all stakeholders.
- Understand and follow instructions and to escalate issues as required.
- Track essential KPIâs as appropriate involving impact to scheduling in your area of responsibility
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
4-year degree industrial, business related or similar preferred
3-4 years scheduling experience (manufacturing preferred)Â
Experience with CMMS
Purchasing experience with supply chainÂ
SPX, Maximo systems experience
Microsoft suite experience with high proficiency in ExcelÂ
