Mortenson is currently seeking an Associate Environmental Specialist with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.Ā The Associate Environmental Specialist will support Mortenson's environmental management efforts for Solar and Emerging Renewables projects throughout North America, providing review of environmental documentation, and advising on environmental matters in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures.Ā

Travel: Ā This is a regional position that will be supporting projects in a specified region of the U.S. This is a 100% travel position. Mortenson hires for a career and not a project.

RESPONSIBILITIESĀ
Implement and administer environmental program at each work siteĀ
Support project management in developing and executing site-specific environmental plansĀ
Participate in project planning and environmental risk analysisĀ
Review environmental submittals and attend preconstruction meetings with subcontractorsĀ
Monitor and review trade partner work plans for environmental concernsĀ
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement policies and proceduresĀ
Coordinate and support environmental orientation and training programsĀ
Assist with onsite best management practices for environmental managementĀ
Monitor implementation of environmental mitigation measuresĀ
Conduct work site environmental inspectionsĀ
Monitor and record environmental dataĀ
Document and report environmental violations and non-compliance conditionsĀ
Assist with incident analysis and responseĀ
Provide environmental-related information resourcesĀ
Maintain knowledge of environmental issues, regulations, and standards (US EPA, ASTM, etc.)Ā
Research environmental issues for project team membersĀ
Interface with customerās environmental personnel, consultants, and regulatory representativesĀ
Accompany environmental, health and safety, insurance, and regulatory personnel on site toursĀ
Ensure maintenance and inspection of environmental equipmentĀ

QUALIFICATIONSĀ
Bachelorās degree or higher required in Geology, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Biology, or related fieldĀ Ā

**The base pay range for this role is $73,800 - $92,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL ā 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR ā 10%, Washington, D.C. ā 12.5%).Ā

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individualās knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.Ā This position is eligible for Mortensonās incentive plan.Ā
