POSITION: Forklift – Operator I - 3rd ShiftĀ 


REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor


Position Summary: Ā 

Perform basic warehouse functions while maintaining the integrity of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods and ensuring all quality and safety standards are met. Use lift equipment to move products/materials/equipment/etc. as required.Ā Ā 

Ā 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Ā 

• Review daily production schedule. Ā 

• Responsible for issuing raw materials or removing finished goods from production lines. Ā 

• Materials must be issued to the production lines in a timely manner as determined by daily production schedule. Ā 

• Product must be removed from production lines in a timely manner as not to disrupt production. Ā 

• Raw materials must be rotated and pulled in accordance with FIFO procedures. Ā 

• All unused materials will be returned to stock in an acceptable manner. (Properly labeled containers and appropriately covered). Ā 

• Tickets must be verified and signed prior to removal from production lines. Ā 

• Each pallet must be wrapped and staged in designated area for shipment to NWH. Ā 

• Follow all GMP’s. Ā 

• Complete all other assigned duties in an efficient manner. Ā 

• Notify Group Manager of any suspicious personnel or incidents occurring that relate to plant security. Ā 

• Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system. Ā 

• Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system. Ā 

• Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. Ā 

• Inform Line Manager, Group Manager or any other Management personnel of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes which become noncompliant with specified requirements. Ā 

• Perform inventory counts and assist in inventory reconciliation. Ā 

• Post transactions to Inventory records. Ā 

• Perform other job-related duties as assignedĀ 


Qualifications: Ā 

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or six to eight months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ā 

• Associate’s (i.e., Warehouse) experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ā 

• Must possess excellent communication skills; written and verbal. Ā 

• Requires operational knowledge of computer software (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Internet applications, etc.)Ā 

• Must have verifiable experience on a sit-down forklift (PIT). Ā 

• Must have OSHA certification and pass pre-hire forklift test.Ā 

• Must be able to work overtime as required. Ā

FLSA Designation: This position is Hourly - Non-Exempt, eligible for overtime.
