Description
Summary of PositionSupports the Company Quality Systems to ensure compliance with Company requirements, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. Responsible for executing and improving quality practices, supporting production, and delivering results consistent with the Quality Systems. Ensure worker safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
Support the implementation and maintenance of Company quality systems in accordance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO14001, ISO45001, NADCAP Material Testing)Â
Execute quality system activities including:Â
- Document control supportÂ
- Nonconformance management      Â
- Customer complaints
- Root cause analysis and corrective action
- Supplier managementÂ
Interface with production to ensure product quality and process compliance:Â
- Review in-process and final inspection resultsÂ
- Support disposition of nonconforming materialÂ
- Drive timely entry and closure of quality eventsÂ
Participate in internal and external audits:Â
- Support audit preparation and executionÂ
- Assist in response development and corrective action follow-upÂ
Support customer and supplier quality activities:Â
- Assist with customer inquiries, complaints, and corrective actionsÂ
- Participate in supplier qualification, audits, and performance monitoringÂ
Collect, analyze, and report quality data:Â
- Track key quality metrics (scrap, rework, defects, trends)Â
- Support reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual quality reviewsÂ
Participate in evaluation of new products and processes to ensure quality and complianceÂ
Support development and improvement of procedures, work instructions, and quality documentationÂ
Work closely with laboratory and production teams to ensure testing, inspection, and certification requirements are metÂ
Promote a culture of safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvementÂ

Requirements
Qualifications- BS – Chemistry, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or similar technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), SPC software (Minitab, JMP, etc.)Â
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (production, lab, engineering, suppliers, customers)
- Will consider strong entry-level candidates with internship or co-op experience, 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment preferredÂ
- Working knowledge of quality systems (e.g. ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO/IEC 17025, NADCAP) preferredÂ
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, AS9100 and/or ISO9001 certified internal auditor, Lean 6s experience preferred
- Ability to read, speak, hear, and understand English throughout each day
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, handle documents, and perceive depth/ colors accurately
- Ability to occasionally lift/ carry 25 pounds and use foot controls to drive around company campus
