Caladwich Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented analytical Distribution Quality Control Specialist to support Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution warehouse and distribution operations. The Distribution Quality Control Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating quality assurance programs that ensure warehouse operations comply with contract requirements, DLA policies, audit readiness standards, and established operational procedures.
This position provides the opportunity to directly support military readiness by promoting operational excellence, reducing process deficiencies, and ensuring distribution operations consistently meet performance, compliance, and customer service expectations.

Core responsibilities
· Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes that support compliance with contract requirements and DLA operational standards.
· Conduct quality assurance inspections, process reviews, and surveillance activities across warehouse and distribution operations.
· Evaluate operational performance, identify process deficiencies, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
· Analyze quality data, audit findings, and performance metrics to support continuous process improvement.
· Verify compliance with DLA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes, and internal controls.
· Prepare quality reports, inspection results, and performance documentation for project leadership and Government representatives.
· Support operational managers by providing technical guidance on quality assurance, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
Operational Support
· Perform routine inspections of receiving, warehousing, inventory, packaging, shipping, and transportation processes.
· Monitor Quality Control Plan (QCP) implementation and verify corrective actions are completed effectively.
· Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Government information systems to evaluate operational performance and identify trends.
· Support internal and external audits by maintaining documentation, validating compliance, and assisting with audit responses.
· Assist with employee training on quality procedures, process improvements, and operational best practices.
· Collaborate with warehouse leadership and Government personnel to improve operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
· Maintain records supporting quality assurance activities, inspection results, and contract deliverables.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
· Minimum three (3) years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
· Experience implementing or managing Quality Control Plans (QCP), process improvement initiatives, or compliance programs.
· Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or equivalent automated logistics systems.
· Experience conducting inspections, audits, process evaluations, and performance analysis.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report preparation.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting DLA Distribution or Department of Defense logistics operations.
· Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent quality management certification.
· ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar professional certification.
· Experience supporting performance-based federal service contracts and audit readiness initiatives.
Other Requirements:
· Must be a US Citizen
· Must be able to pass background investigations including a FBI fingerprint check and a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) adjudication.
