SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT - PUBLIC ACCOUNTING
Location: Bergen County, NJ
Compensation: $150K - $200K base, plus major incentives.

Our client is a prestigious, multi-location public accounting and financial services firm seeking a full-time Senior Tax Accountant. Due to a recent acquisition, they are expanding and need experienced CPA professionals who can manage all aspects of accounting work, from write-up to tax return preparation.

Key Opportunity – Tax Professional

  • CPA required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of recent public accounting experience
  • Able to handle full-scope accounting work, from write-up through tax preparation
  • Proficient in Accounting CS, UltraTax CS, and Fixed Assets CS
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and sales tax laws
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain corporate financial records and perform full-scope tax accounting for individuals and businesses
  • Prepare individual, trust, estate, corporate, and partnership tax returns
  • Record journal entries, depreciation, and adjustments based on tax returns
  • Prepare tax-based financial statements and research/respond to tax-related inquiries
