The R&D Scientist is responsible for developing new product offerings for U.S. Silica’s Industrial and Specialty Products Division. More specifically, the individual will utilize the company’s new state-of-the-art innovation center to plan and conduct research projects, generate intellectual property, and lead the progression of R&D projects through US Silica’s innovation pipeline. The R&D Scientist is also expected to provide technical support to the company’s Technical Service groups by conducting routine performance testing and characterization of select products. The expected travel time to visit select customers, plants, or present technical progress at conferences is 15%.
