Reporting to the Director of Growing Operations of Pure Flavor Farms LP, the Regional Grower is responsible for the execution of the crop plans and growing processes and systems integration that will continue to improve farm operations at Pure Flavor Farms or other locations as assigned.  The focus will be to assist in Pure Flavor’s growth trajectory across North America ensuring flawless execution on quality delivery models to our customers together with the health, safety, and welfare of all employees.  Your experience and talents will guide our team of high-performing professionals to be even more efficient, productive, and effective operations. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience within the Greenhouse Vegetable industry driving efficient and cost-effective operations to meet current and future needs of the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Growing Operations and all colleagues in the Growing Operations Team across Pure Flavor’s expanding footprint.
  • Working with colleagues to identify, promote, and implementing best in class practices, new technologies and growing techniques utilizing AI and other world class techniques. Assist in feasibility analysis of expansions, acquisitions, and other new business ventures.
  • Mitigate risks and effectively manage all threats associated with greenhouse operations.
  • Collaborate in the R&D process for new product variety development, and new growing technology as identified by the Chief Growing Officer Director of Growing Operations, and other colleagues.
  • Oversee Greenhouse Operation’s employee relations focused on productivity while building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
  • Maintain and build trusted relationships with both internal and external clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Perform other core duties and expectations as defined by the company.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Agriculture related field, Operations Management, or Business (preferred)
  • Post-secondary education or certification in Horticulture or Agronomy (preferred)
  • 10+ years of senior level operational experience required.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and the PrimusGFS Program
  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness, operations, and project management
  • Ability to develop and implement best practices, strategy, and company vision.
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision capabilities in managing staff groups and project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style, and the ability to delegate effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with all employee groups.
  • Commitment to high professional ethical standards.
  • Excels in a fast-paced, safety-first environment.

 

Work Environment:

  • Hours of work may vary depending on business needs; role requires flexibility.
  • Ability and willingness to travel with no restrictions; must hold a valid passport.
  • This job has you interact in operations that can have hot and very humid environments.
  • Specific vision capabilities required; the employee is to work in front of a computer, sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Candidate must have solid interactive communication skills when working with all levels of the company.

 

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a salary range of $130,000 - $150,000 USD annually, commensurate with experience, skills, and internal equity. In addition, Pure Flavor provides a competitive total rewards package that includes company benefits packages, 401K matching, and paid time off.
