Job Summary
The Electrical Panel Builder assembles, wires, and tests electrical control panels and sub-panels in accordance with ISO quality standards, engineering drawings, and work instructions. This role requires experience in control wiring, blueprint reading, and use of electrical testing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
- Lay out, drill, tap, and assemble electrical enclosures and sub-panels
- Perform control panel wiring, labeling, and component installation
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems using voltmeters and other tools
- Follow work instructions, job packets, and material flow processes
- Complete production documentation and reports accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2–4 years of electrical assembly or panel building experience
- 3+ years of control wiring experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents
- Proficiency with hand and power tools (drills, saws, etc.)
- Experience using measuring and testing tools (micrometer, voltmeter)
- Basic computer skills (file navigation, time tracking systems)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet production goals
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing/production environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and electrical components
- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods
- Frequent reaching, handling, and tool use
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to distinguish wire colors and adjust visual focus
