Job Summary

The Electrical Panel Builder assembles, wires, and tests electrical control panels and sub-panels in accordance with ISO quality standards, engineering drawings, and work instructions. This role requires experience in control wiring, blueprint reading, and use of electrical testing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
Lay out, drill, tap, and assemble electrical enclosures and sub-panels
Perform control panel wiring, labeling, and component installation
Test and troubleshoot electrical systems using voltmeters and other tools
Follow work instructions, job packets, and material flow processes
Complete production documentation and reports accurately
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
2–4 years of electrical assembly or panel building experience
3+ years of control wiring experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents
Proficiency with hand and power tools (drills, saws, etc.)
Experience using measuring and testing tools (micrometer, voltmeter)
Basic computer skills (file navigation, time tracking systems)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and meet production goals
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Manufacturing/production environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and electrical components
Ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods
Frequent reaching, handling, and tool use
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Must be able to distinguish wire colors and adjust visual focus

Safety Requirements

Must follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves)
