About this opportunity 

The Delivery Manager is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the retail delivery department and those fuel delivery representatives who perform retail deliveries. The anticipated pay range for this position is $77,000 to $83,000.

What your role will look like

  • Ensuring that all retail deliveries are made and handled in a safe, efficient, and appropriate manner, including, but not limited to, that they are performed consistent with all company policies and procedures.  
  • Timely reports on all accidents and work-related injuries, completing all required documentation
  • Making sound decisions relative to the scheduling and assignment of delivery personnel to ensure timely and safe delivery of product.
  • Ensure that all company policies, procedures, handbooks, manuals and state and federal codes are adhered to in connection with all retail deliveries and all other fuel delivery representative activities.
  • Maintaining a proficient working knowledge of the Company’s safety policies and procedures and implementing them in connection with all retail deliveries and all other fuel delivery representative activities.
  • Provide feedback to employees regarding performance, contributions and areas needing improvement on a consistent basis.   Conduct employee evaluations, take disciplinary action, when appropriate, and make recommendations regarding personnel. 
  • Responsible for keeping Operations Manager informed of personnel related issues. 
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination of activities among fuel delivery representatives.  
  • Supervise the following functions:
  • All logs, and payments collected from customers are turned in daily.
  • Work with Logistics to ensure outstanding delivery tickets are identified, via application system reporting, to prevent customer run outs.
  • Work assigned to fuel delivery representatives is completed safely and that delivery vehicles are kept clean.
  • Ensure that fuel delivery representatives present a neat and clean appearance
  • Maintain a proficient working knowledge of Out of Gas Procedure.
  • Be receptive of new technologies that will improve efficiency and use as appropriate.
  • Consistently communicate and demonstrate support for the company’s Core Values, Mission Statement and Vision.
  • Demonstrate appropriate leadership, enthusiasm, and effective communication.
