EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Advantech Industries, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Rochester, New York, specializing in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly services. The company, founded in 2002, serves multiple industries, including defense, medical, and aerospace, and operates out of a 250,000-square-foot facility. 

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs on a wide variety of manufacturing equipment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Preventive maintenance to include cleaning of coolant tanks, cleaning and changing equipment filters and replenishing or changing oils, etc.
• General mechanical, hydraulic, and electric repairs on CNC machines, press brakes, and other machinery throughout our facility. 
• Facility maintenance as necessary to include replacing HVAC filters, snow removal, changing light bulbs, etc. 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• With limited supervision and quality work ethic, functions as a member of a customer-driven quality team whose goal is to ensure that facilities and equipment are properly maintained.
• Holds oneself accountable for doing whatever is needed to meet the commitments made around project outcomes.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directives.
• Ability to work well under pressure, to adhere to deadlines and the ability to be flexible.
• Thorough operational knowledge and skills of specific equipment to be operated.
• Ability to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
• Finesse in performance of maintenance related duties.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanics and repairer trades. 
• Production environment experience required.

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $23.00 - $37.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
