ESTIMATOR
Advantech Industries, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Rochester, New York, specializing in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly services. The company, founded in 2002, serves multiple industries, including defense, medical, and aerospace, and operates out of a 250,000-square-foot facility.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Estimators accurately project the cost of upcoming projects, to ensure that a project is handled in a way that is profitable. The Estimator is responsible for establishing how long a project will take to complete and how much it will cost. The Estimator also collects material and finish costs and is able to function as a Process Engineer, as needed.
- Establish and maintain accurate cycle times for CNC machining operations, including mills and lathes.
- Generate and analyze cost estimates for production jobs.
- Collect and track material costs to support accurate pricing and budgeting.
- Gather and evaluate finishing costs to ensure complete cost assessments.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Functions as a member of a customer-driven quality team, ensuring product quality requirements are met with limited supervision and a strong commitment to quality.
- Demonstrates strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain diplomatic and work effectively with others.
- Takes accountability for meeting project commitments, effectively prioritizing tasks, multitasking, and maintaining flexibility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Possesses thorough operational knowledge of assigned equipment and the ability to operate it safely and efficiently.
- Accurately tracks and records time spent and materials used.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree preferred.
- Vocational or Trade School a plus but not required.
- At least five years' experience in manufacturing or related field.
- Working knowledge of CNC machining processes, including mills and lathes, with the ability to estimate cycle times and tooling requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication and estimating is a plus.

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $90,000 - $125,000 / annual salary. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
