Job Summary:

A facilities coordinator ensures that the work environment for all staff members of the organization is optimal by promoting safe conditions and providing building maintenance services. Responsibilities include making plans to ensure adequate supply of inventory, interacting with vendors, scheduling maintenance and repairs, and protecting the health and safety of the building employees. Other duties include assuring the grounds are safe and the upkeep is on schedule, assisting with budget planning, working to manage the inside areas of the facility, and assigning tasks to the appropriate people for maintaining equipment. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ordering/stocking of medical supplies and inventory on-hand
  • Responding to staff supply/ facility repair requests
  • Interacting with vendors to schedule any maintenance and repairs
  • Observation of satellite appearance internally and outside grounds
  • Managing/performing sanitation of common areas
  • Maintenance of office vehicles and equipment
  • Responding to urgent maintenance calls and alarms; requiring to be on-call with other Facilities staff
  • Documentation of Emergency plans including floor plan attachments for building evacuation and creating written instructions and drawings for other disaster recovery action plans.
  • Testing building security systems and promoting safety within the building.
  • Inspections/Code Requirements
  • Inventory/purchase order maintenance using software
  • Responsible for staff building access across all sites
  • Conduct a routine count of inventory items on-hand



Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree and 2 years of facilities management experience or 4 years of facilities management experience preferred. 


Experience: Ability to work professionally, strong communication skills both verbally and in written form with staff and vendors; maintaining positive vendor relationships. 


Knowledge: Microsoft Office programs, computerized maintenance software, understanding of mechanical and electrical properties.


Skills: Ability to multitask, ability to be a team player, organized, attention to detail, ability to work independently, recognition of opportunities or improvements.


Hourly rate: $28.00-$32.00
