Job Summary
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas. This position supports the kitchen team by ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment while complying with health and safety regulations.
Core Work Requirements
- Wash dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils using dishwashing equipment or by hand as needed.Â
- Properly sort, scrape, soak, and load items into dishwashing machines.Â
- Unload and store clean dishes and kitchen equipment in designated areas.Â
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen work areas.Â
- Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas.Â
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors and clean floor mats as scheduled.Â
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, storage areas, and food preparation surfaces.Â
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when needed.Â
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low.Â
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.Â
- Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and support tasks as assigned.Â
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude while working as part of a team.
   General Expectations
- Adhere to all company policies
- Ensure personal appearance is clean and is in uniform as assigned
- Understand and adhere to basic hotel safety, security and emergency procedures
- Replenish any items as needed throughout the shift
- Perform other property specific job-related duties as needed by your supervisor or direct reports
   Essential skills and experience
- Reliable, self-motivated, and responsible time management
- Dishwasher experience desired
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, days and nights
- Must be able to remain stationary or move continuously 50% of the time, ability to move about on property, able to position self to clean floors or under tables, able to communicate with guests in person and on the phone, able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds and lift 20 pounds above shoulders for the operation of the food service area
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals per Federal, State, Terratron and Brand policies
- Strong knowledge of preparing and serving food and beverages
- Strong knowledge of preparing and serving food and beverages
- Strong skills in oral and written communication and computer knowledge
