Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Electrical Focus)

Location: Greater Rochester, NY (onsite) 

Pay Rate: $28–$39/hour (based on experience) + overtime + profit sharing

Schedule: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday-Friday) 


Overview:

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician for a precision metal manufacturing company that delivers full-service, end-to-end solutions—from engineering and prototyping to fabrication, welding, finishing, and final assembly under one roof.

Known for its vertically integrated approach, it leverages advanced technologies like CNC machining, laser cutting, and robotic automation to produce complex, high-mix components across industries such as automotive, medical, telecommunications, and electronics.

The company is recognized for its strong engineering support, design-for-manufacturing expertise, and ability to help customers improve product performance while reducing cost and lead time.



What You’ll Do:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and advanced troubleshooting, with a strong focus on electrical diagnostics
  • Support the relocation and setup of 12+ robotic cells, including running conduit, wiring, and system integration
  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment: CNC machines, robotic welders, press brakes, lasers, automated systems, and more
  • Partner with machine operators to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions
  • Work across multiple manufacturing environments, gaining exposure to a highly diverse equipment portfolio
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in uptime, efficiency, and reliability
  • Collaborate with a tight-knit maintenance team during a critical company growth phase


Compensation:

  • Hourly Pay: $28–$39/hour depending on experience and level
  • Overtime: Significant OT available, especially during facility transition (60+ hours/week initially, tapering as operations stabilize)
  • Bonus: Profit sharing (~5% of annual salary, performance and company goals dependent)

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting skills (critical requirement)
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience
  • Experience working with industrial equipment such as CNC machines, robotics, or automated systems
  • Ability to read schematics, troubleshoot systems, and work independently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment (especially during facility transition)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with operators and team members


Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience with PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley), automation, or robotics
  • Technical degree or certifications

  • This is an onsite role in the Greater Rochester, NY area
