Responsibilities


Supports the practice of Sleep Medicine at Mayo by performing diagnostic studies, therapeutic trials, patient education, and such other tasks that are necessary for efficient delivery of quality health care to Mayo patients



Qualifications


- Associate Degree, with an Associate of Applied Science or Associate Degree in Neurophysiology preferred.
- For employees hired before 1/01/2010, certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with 10 years of clinical experience in a sleep medicine laboratory is allowed.
- Alertness, ability to adhere to policies and procedures, capable of making decisions, coping, and good communication skills.
- The ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams to troubleshoot and problem solve is required.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification, credentialed through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT), within 2 years after becoming eligible to sit for the BRPT registration examination.
- Establishing and maintaining Basic Life Support certification is required.
