Position Description


Roberts Wesleyan University seeks a Full Time Programmer Analyst to join our Information Technology Services department.  The Programmer Analyst will work on a variety of projects and interface with faculty, staff, and students.  The Programmer Analyst will work within the Business Application Support team to manage the day-to-day support activities of the university’s business applications, business analysis, database maintenance activities, addressing reporting requirements, programming, as well as implementation and development activities.

Roberts is seeking an individual who is professional, flexible and comfortable with managing multiple tasks within a small team.  The Programmer Analyst will work with a variety of departments across the campus and will report to the senior analyst in the Business Application Support team.  It is important for the Programmer Analyst to have good communication and organizational skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in programming and maintenance of Business Applications (both Client Server and Web based)
  • Help to manage the day-to-day support activities of the university’s business applications, business analysis, database maintenance activities, addressing reporting requirements, programming
  • Work with others on the team in implementation and development activities 
  • Support faculty, staff and students with their informational technology needs

 

The approved salary for this position is : $62,353.20 - $65,000.00

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field strongly preferred
  • One to two years of relevant experience working in a programmer analyst role
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will 
  • Understanding of application design and systems analysis
  • Experience in Visual Studio, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL Server - database administration and query writing
  • 1+ years working with ASP.NET, VB, C#
  • ASP.NET MVC (nice to have)
  • Good customer service skills
  • Work well in a team environment and within deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve and debug software
  • Good organizational and communication skills
