Work Schedule: 5X8 2nd Shift = Monday-Friday 2:45-10:45 pm

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manufacturing operations associated with producing proof of concept demonstrators and prototypes.  
  • Use advanced weaving/injection knowledge and critical thinking to produce as designed concepts per engineering instructions. 
  • Use diagnostic and communication skills to be the interface between engineering and manufacturing. Must have the ability to communicate what has been experienced and or seen.  
  • Accurately and efficiently set up equipment per engineering instructions.  
  • Execute daily autonomous maintenance and start-up activities.  
  • Perform unconventional or highly prototypical processes.  
  • Assist in developing improvement methods and practices to increase predictability safely. • Accurately complete/create documentation associated with development processes. Attention to detail a must. Reflect reality of what has been done.  
  • Perform timely and accurate transactions of workflow in ERP system. 
  • Assist in performing required process capability studies, equipment installation qualifications, and process validation.  
  • Assist in the investigation and implementation of new equipment, process and products as required. 
  • Active participant on R&T teams /audits such as Safety Team or Job Hazard analysis.  
  • Utilize RCCA tools. 
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety regulations, personal protective equipment requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Good Manufacturing Procedures  
  • Responsible for upkeep of development areas and provide a clean and safe work environment.  
  • Review all documentation, assembly, inspection, test, packaging procedures and provide feedback  
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications/Characteristics:  

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent  
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment (aerospace or composites a plus).  
  • Preferred 5 years of relevant experience in our processes (Weaving /Injection)  
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering instructions.  
  • Physical demands of the job include: stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 25 pounds), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering and climbing  
  • Must be able to operate across multiple platforms/Processes 

 

Working Conditions: 

 

Indoor production environment, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures.  Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts.  Ability to work 24/7 schedule and be available as business situations required, overtime dependent on business need.  

 

Physical requirements: 

  • Frequently positions sheets of material onto molds and/or manually sands parts, etc… 
  • Frequent repetitive hand movements, use of hand tools – pliers, sanders, scissors, etc…   
  • Frequently remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time 
  • Must be able to detect and recognize visual differences between materials or parts, etc…  
  • Frequently moves molds and parts >25 lbs between worktables and carts
