GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Account Manager is responsible for providing best-in-class support for Simcona/IEWC customers. Reporting to the Sales Director, this role manages the day-to-day customer activities such as new project quoting, customer order entry, pre-sale inquiries, and post-sale transactions. The AM works collaboratively with internal partners in Engineering, Supply Chain, and Outside Sales applying excellent customer service, project management, order management capabilities and system knowledge to meet the daily needs of the customer. As the AM, you will represent the Simcona/IEWC brand, value proposition and become the ā€œface to the customerā€ in their daily activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Evaluate new opportunities, assess requirements, and provide accurate and prompt quotations to the customer.
  • Enter and process incoming sales orders and add them to all relevant schedules.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering and Outside Sales to quote new projects.
  • Manage active projects and communicate concerns related to parts, scheduling, etc.
  • Manage product/project deviations as necessary.
  • Maintain due dates and other project details as changes occur.
  • Monitor status of and communicate with customers on incoming customer-supplied materials.
  • Collaboration across all company functions including sales operations, engineering, and quality.
  • Contribute to process efficiency and customer experience continuous improvement efforts.
  • Strive through each interaction to become an Entrusted Partner to our customers.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in the manufacturing environment.
  • Prior sales or application engineering experience in a configured or engineered to order manufacturing is preferred.
