SUMMARY:
The Sr. Engineering Technician supports Engineering by developing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM), performing cost estimating, building prototype parts and fixtures, and programming CNC press brake, lasers and turrets. This position interprets blueprints and 3D models, optimizes manufacturing programs, and ensures quality, safety, and production efficiency. This role bridges engineering design and production execution through technical expertise, programming capability, and continuous improvement support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attends work during scheduled hours and maintains consistent attendance.
- Receives and interprets prints, 3D models, work orders, and engineering parameters.
- Develops and maintains Bills of Materials (BOM) including cost estimation and tool identification.
- Maintains fixture and tool identification systems and supports production tool tracking.
- Programs CNC press brake equipment, laser, and turrets to manufacture parts from blueprints and models.
- Loads, edits, tests, and optimizes programs based on in-process inspections.
- Assists machinery operators to verify program specifications and production quality.
- Inspects finished products for completeness and conformance to quality standards.
- Converts metric and standard measurements as required.
- Checks own work against documented requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving measures.
- Follows all company safety policies, procedures, and JSEA requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Robotics, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1–5 years related experience in engineering support, CNC programming, and manufacturing.
- Experience with Pro-E, AutoCAD, or equivalent drawing software preferred.
- Experience with CNC press brake or robotic welding programming preferred.
- Preferred Software Experience (Not Required): Bysoft, Ncell, Radan, and Press Brake / Boost TruTops software experience.
