Job Description

The Event Coordinator organizes and pulls together all logistical planning for special events occurring at the Regional Sports facilities, the Regional Stadium, and other locations throughout campus serving as a point of contact for internal and external customers from initial inquiry through event execution. This position oversees the accurate processing of facility use agreements and account invoicing and maintains accurate records of usage and rental revenues. This position also facilitates reservations using the event management system (EMS) software and is the designated, on-site coordinator of evening and weekend events.

Salary Range:

24.40 - 35.30 USD Hourly

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience in event management or related field.
  • Working knowledge of facility management procedures including planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of a wide variety of events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, agreements, and contracts in event planning and marketing sufficient to maintain event compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience and knowledge with EMS reservations software including configuration and reporting.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs, Adobe Suite programs, and event scheduling software.
  • Ability to set-up and takedown equipment for events, including the moving of tables, chairs, event staging, and sound systems.
  • Experience in working with a diverse group of students, staff, and community members.

Preferred Qualification 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrates negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience managing or coordinating events.
  • Knowledge of public address systems and other sound reinforcement equipment including set-up and operation.
  • 5+ years’ customer service experience
