POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The Table Games Manager provides exemplary leadership and performance accountability to the organization through alignment and execution of strategic goals and objectives set forth by the Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel (LECH) leadership team. The Table Games Manager will be responsible for the selection and development of personnel, provide leadership and day to day support, and ensure the achievement of business goals that are set by leadership. Maintaining transparent, collaborative relations with the leadership team, vendors, community, and the Chehalis Tribe is critical for this position.  Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of LECH is essential for success. 

 

The Table Games Manager has oversight and direction of the Table Games Department, including but not limited to strategic planning, project development, quality assurance, profitability, budgeting, and implementing the priorities of the leadership team.  This position works with all Table Games personnel and adheres to PRIDE and GUEST core and service values.  

 

This position ensures confidentialitysecurity, and accuracy of business operations; promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to all stakeholders including fellow team members, guests and vendors is expected.  Regular attendance, later hours and weekend work is required.  Completing projects on time and in a quality manner is essential. The Table Games Manager must always maintain a neat well-groomed professional appearance    

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: 

Supervises and directs personnel and activities of the Table Games department. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

The essential functions of the Table Games Manager position include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Assures that the organization, its mission, products, and services are presented in a strong, positive image and are consistent with casino business strategies. Displays excellent guest service and team building skills and ensures consistency with the LECH core value and guest service standards.  

  • Manages, directs, and participates in the growth of the Table Games staff in the performance of their duties. Promotes GUEST service standards, professionalism, and positive morale. Maintains leadership presence on the casino floor for support and to promote positive interaction with all team members and guests.   

  • Establishes an effective system of communication to maintain a constant flow of information downward, upward, and laterally while maintaining and promoting a high level of confidentiality.  

  • Responsible for overall day to day operations of the Table Games Department and all levels of supervisors and their subordinates. 

  • Reviews and evaluates operating policy, procedures, and internal controls. Recommends and implements changes as approved by the Director of Casino Operations.  

  • Develops and manages the operational budget for the Table Game Department. Forecasts, plans, and manages all matters involving Table Game Department operating capital.  

  • Responsible for the analysis, performance, and placement of Table Games. Responsible for the installation, operation, repair and maintenance of the Table Games progressive system, table types, minimum bets and the purchase and installation of table layouts.  

  • Stays current on gaming trends in the local market and provides feedback of such to the Table Games team and Director of Casino Operations. Reviews competitor’s products and service offerings to ensure best demonstrated practices and to help maintain a competitive edge.  

  • Works cooperatively with all casino departments and regulatory authorities. Ensures all reports and data extracts are generated as requested and as required by Finance.  

  • Oversees the hiring and scheduling of the department team members and assures correct staffing levels to meet our guest’s needs. Reviews with the Director of Casino Operations to hire, evaluate, promote, transfer and discipline table games personnel in a fair and equitable manner.  

  • Responsible for having all equipment on the casino floor in service and fully functional.  

  • Responsible for the inventory of all required equipment and gaming chips necessary to operate the department effectively and efficiently, Safely and organized.  

  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field preferred. 

 

SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

With a bachelor’s degree, must have at least four (4) years of table games experience with a minimum of three (3) years in a leadership position.  With an associate degree, must have at least six (6) years of table games experience with a minimum of three (3) years in a leadership position. Without a degree, must have at least eight (8) years of table games experience with a minimum of three (3) years in a leadership position. 

 

Excellence in departmental management with the ability to coach supervisory level staff to manage and develop high performance teams and implement program strategies. 

 

Must possess the skills and knowledge to effectively lead a complex department with programs to leverage strengths across program areas. Must possess experience in program budgeting and fiscal management. Must exercise analytic and decisive decisions with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve departmental goals.    

 

Must be a creative, innovative, and motivated self-starter, with the ability to recognize and address departmental needs.  Have an in-depth understanding of Tribal Gaming Regulations and Policies and Procedures for gaming tournaments and promotional programs.  Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking ability. The applicant should be fluent in operating computer hardware and software applications used in the department on a regular basis, as well as have interpersonal skills using tact and diplomacy.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. Applicant must be fluent in Microsoft Office.  

 

Must be a minimum of 21 years old and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and have and maintain a driving record that at least meets the minimum requirements established by the LECH vehicle insurance provider.  

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.  

 

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle; feel; or grip objects, stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; stoop; crouch or work in cramped or awkward positions; repetitive motions.  This person may regularly lift and/or move up to 30+ pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus.   

 

ENVIRONMENT: 

Primarily indoors and may be exposed to heavy smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel.  May also, from time-to-time, be exposed to noise from slot machines, customers, music and public announcement systems, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment. 

 

Position, in support of LEC&H’s Pride in Property values, assists with the daily cleaning of public and team member spaces, ensuring hey are properly cleaning (to property standards) and sanitized; examples of daily cleaning protocols include but are not limited to the cleaning of work areas, machines, equipment, using cleaning and sanitizing agents and report of any and all cleanliness issues.
