Description

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing regular preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment used on the manufacturing floor, to ensure the successful execution of production activities. This position will complete building and HVAC maintenance as needed. 


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery 
  • Troubleshoot equipment to determine specific malfunctioning issues
  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment within the facility
  • Installation and setup of new equipment, ensuring proper functionality 
  • Carefully read equipment manuals and interpret drawings to maintain equipment properly
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance on and within the facility
  • Communicate with the management regarding equipment faults and corrective action techniques
  • Keep accurate and timely records of maintenance activities 
  • Prioritize and complete daily work orders to a level of importance
  • Abide by all safety standards and industry regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements

Required Skills & Abilities  

  • Must be able to speak, read & write in the English language
  • Basic electrical experience is required
  • Demonstrated technical & mechanical competence
  • Strong organizational & problem-solving skills 
  • Root Cause analysis and logical thinking skills
  • Must be able to read electrical and mechanical schematic
  • Strong written & verbal skills 
  • Strong Attention to detail 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 40lbs independently
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to bend, crouch and crawl, as needed

Education/ Experience

  • 3+ years experience with manufacturing machine maintenance
  • Electrician certificate is a plus
  • Technical Degree is a plus

Other: 

  • Hourly Rate based on experience level
  • Hourly (non-exempt) position, eligible for overtime
  • Ability & Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
