The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Performs complex dry laboratory research activities, planning and conducting a complete project of limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project. Sets up and operates equipment. Modifies methods and techniques, records, computes, and analyzes test data. Prepares programs, specifications, designs, charts, graphs, tables, and illustrations, may assists in preparation of materials for publication.

Essential Functions

  • In accordance with broadly-outlined objectives, requirements, and approaches, plans and conducts technical procedures, non-routine and complex in nature. Sets up and operates sophisticated equipment or instrumentation. Constructs major units of equipment.
  • With latitude for modifying methods and techniques, records, computes, and analyzes test data. Prepares test reports and makes recommendations.
  • Prepares computer programs, schematics, specifications, designs, charts, graphs, tables, illustrations, and photographs. May assist in preparation of materials for publication.
  • Expected to develop innovative but practical solutions to technical problems in target assembly to enhance manufacturability.
  • Capable at working in cleanroom laboratory environment, using manual techniques to manipulate delicate micro-assemblies.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years of relevant experience required
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
