The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for producing high quality X-ray images by conducting exams in a safe and efficient manner.  Verifies and follows referring providers' orders while remaining in compliance with the Imaging Sciences departmental policies.  Possesses a sound understanding of human anatomy as well as x-ray positioning and the use if immobilization devices when warranted. Receives training as well as regular direct supervision or guidance from a more senior technologist to perform proficiency of the required tasks. Takes independent responsibility for performing general section studies in a safe and efficient manner, completing all associated paper and computer work while providing high quality images for radiologist interpretation.

UR Medicine Imaging has several great opportunities to join the team as Radiology Technologist. The Department of Imaging is much more than just x-rays, is at the forefront of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging technologies. We provide patient-focused diagnostic imaging services to Strong Memorial Hospital, as well as to patients in the Greater Rochester and Monroe County communities.

As a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) your responsibilities include producing high quality X-Ray images, with a focus on quality, accuracy and customer service. Imaging covers a variety of specialties from Emergency to Pediatric, Bone, Abdominal, Neurological and Cardiovascular imaging.

The desired candidate will have:

  • Completed formal training in Radiologic Technology
  • Prior experience using the standard technology and equipment for diagnostic imaging. Note that this experience is helpful but not required.
