The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Provides basic dental laboratory procedures under supervision. Exercises standard skill, judgment, and knowledge of the terminology and common procedures and practices of the dental lab.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Designs and fabricates simple dental removable prostheses, using mostly conventional analog workflows. Pours master casts for dentures, fabricates wax occlusal rims, mounts casts on articulators, and processes and finishes teeth in balanced occlusion. Surveys and designs framework for partials, wax and processes teeth to bases. Receives impressions from residents and dental assistants and pours to make mold. Trims models from poured impression, packages study cast in boxes, logs receipt and properly stores in residents’ cabinets.
- Sends and receives lab cases, updates patient charts with invoices for cases, performs quality check of all cases received, working closely with residents and vendor on all cases, and records receipt of cases for residents. Tracks lab cases to ensure timely processing and completion by the patient’s next scheduled appointment.
- Performs beginner-level digital workflows, including basic procedures related to fixed and implant prosthodontics, complete and partial.
- Cleans lab equipment and stocks lab area.
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- High School diploma or High School student in good academic standing required
- 1 year dental lab experience preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Attention to detail and ability to work with precise dexterity preferred
