The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $43,280 - $54,100

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing superior customer service to all RG&E customers, Customer Representatives communicate about all aspects of customers' accounts. They Process customer payments, perform collections related transactions, perform Department of Social Services transactions, process customer requests for service, handle billing inquires and handle other miscellaneous customer transactions and duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Handles collection activities, DSS transactions, turn-on/shut-off requests, and billing inquiries for walk-in customers in one of RG&Es Customer Offices. Uses customer service skills and training to ensure quality customer transactions-customers receive prompt, courtesy service; customers receive accurate information; and customer records are updated accurately Takes payment from customers and applies payment to customer account. Balances cash drawer and prepares daily cash deposit Performs miscellaneous customer service transactions. Assists with gas and electric emergencies.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school/GED with 2 years relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Mathematical abilities.
  • Good analytical and decision-making skills.
  • SAP experience.
  • RG&E billing and collections experience.
