Job DetailsJob Location: Rock Hill, SC 29730Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $17.00 - $21.00 HourlyPosition Summary We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Dental Assistant to support our clinical team. This role provides chair-side assistance, prepares patients for treatment, maintains a clean and organized work environment, and helps ensure a smooth patient experience from start to finish. This is a full-time position. Monday to Friday (8 hours/day with time for lunch). Please send us your resume and professional references. If you are the right person for us, we would love to have you on our team!     Essential Functions An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation: Assist the dentist during procedures (fillings, crowns, and extractions). Pass instruments and operating suction. Take digital x-rays and impressions. Welcome patients and review health histories. Record vitals and prepare patients for treatment. Check on the patient’s comfort during treatment and help alleviate any anxiety. Sterilize dental instruments and disinfect treatment rooms Follow OSHA and infection control policies. Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPPA compliance. Review and help manage the daily schedule. Monitor and order supplies Keep treatment rooms stocked and organized. Background checks and drug screening are requirements for employment.        QualificationsQualifications  Experience: Previous dental assisting experience preferred. Familiarity with common dental procedures and workflows. Experience with dental software and digital x-ray systems Knowledge of sterilization and infection control procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an ADA-accredited dental assisting program is preferred. Licenses & Certifications: DANB CDA certification required (Certified Dental Assistant – CDA) or willingness to obtain within.     Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities To be successful, the dental assistant must possess a blend of technical and interpersonal skills: Strong communication skills with ability to explain procedures clearly and reassure patients. Excellent planning and organizational skills with attention to detail. Calm, professional demeanor, especially with anxious patients. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Commitment to patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPPA. Follow strict protocols for infection control.     Work Environment & Physical Demands Fast-paced clinical environment with frequent patient interactions. Prolonged sitting or standing and leaning over patients. Repetitive hand and wrist movements Fine motor skills required for precision tasks.   Exposure to bodily fluids and infectious material. Use of electronic health records (EHR) systems and computers for documentation.
