Ideal Candidate: A strong clinical leader with cardiovascular services experience (preferably Cath Lab exposure), capable of managing departmental operations, driving quality of care, and aligning programs with hospital strategy. The ideal candidate is collaborative, operationally strong, and experienced in leading teams within an acute care setting.
The Director – Cardiovascular Services is responsible for the direction, coordination, and overall management of assigned departments to ensure high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, and alignment with the hospital’s strategic goals. This role oversees nursing and respiratory care services while supporting program development and community-focused healthcare initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
Direct and coordinate daily operations of cardiovascular services and assigned departments
Ensure alignment with the hospital’s Plan for the Provision of Patient Care
Oversee department performance, staffing, and operational efficiency

Clinical Quality & Standards
Implement standards for nursing and respiratory care
Evaluate quality, safety, and effectiveness of patient care delivery

Program Development
Lead development of new programs and services based on community needs

Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (required)
3–5 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting
Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiovascular services or specialty area
Strong leadership and management experience
Active RN License (or ability to obtain Multi-State RN License within 30 days)
BLS CPR certification (required within 7 days of hire)
Strong communication, operational, and leadership skills
