Job DetailsJob Location: Rock Hill, SC Plant - Rock Hill, SC 29730TRUCK DRIVER JOB DESCRIPTION   LOCATION: C.M. Tucker Lumber Corp. JOB TITLE: Tractor Trailer Truck Driver PRIMARY FUNCTION To operate tractor trailer to pick up raw lumber or treated lumber to move lumber inter*company from treating plant to shipping yard. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Comprehend and act upon oral and written instructions from the supervisor. Must possess good communication skills, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with customers and suppliers. Assists and expedites loading of trailer by laying headers for shipping/forklift personnel, tying down and securing load, and switching trailers. Operates semi-truck to transport load over required route to proper destination, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations. Obtain shipping bills of lading and necessary signatures and returns completed paperwork and related records to shipping office. Records and maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations. Responsible for visual inspection of truck and equipment and for preventive maintenance such as checking fuel and other fluids, air in tires, etc., reporting any maintenance problems to shop supervisor and insuring that scheduled maintenance is performed on time. Report any violation received either in company or private vehicle to Personnel or Traffic Manager. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of truck inside and outside. Qualifications
