Job DetailsJob Location: New Hope C - Rock Hill, SC 29732聽 New Hope Carolinas is pleased to offer a 15-week paid Recreational Therapy internship designed to support emerging professionals in meeting the NCTRC Internship Guidelines and preparing for future certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). This internship provides hands-on clinical experience under the supervision of a qualified and credentialed Recreational Therapist. Interns will gain exposure to the full RT process, including: 路 Assessment using standardized and facility-based tools 路 Treatment planning aligned with client goals and evidence-based practice 路 Program implementation across group and individual sessions 路 Documentation following professional, ethical, and regulatory standards 路 Evaluation of client progress and program outcomes 路 Professional development in communication, ethics, and interdisciplinary teamwork The internship is structured to meet NCTRC requirements, including: 路 A minimum of 560 hours over at least 14 consecutive weeks 路 Supervision by an NCTRC-certified CTRS 路 Opportunities to demonstrate competency in the RT process 路 Engagement in professional responsibilities appropriate for entry-level practice This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking a supportive, structured, and clinically rich environment to complete their RT internship while contributing to meaningful client outcomes.
