Food Service Associate

Overview

Shift: Per Request Needed, 1-2 days a week, between the hours of 6:00AM-7:00PM

We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to play a vital role in our patient care experience. In this position, you will do much more than deliver meals; you will serve as a key liaison between our kitchen and patient care units, directly contributing to the health, recovery, and comfort of our patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient trays, snacks, and nourishments per diet specifications  
• Serve patients, guests, and cafeteria customers with excellent customer service  
• Follow portion control, cash handling, and regulatory standards (HIPAA, OSHA, TJC)  
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, equipment, and carts  
• Stock patient units, retail areas, and storage rooms, and monitor food and equipment temperatures  

Qualifications

Experience:

• Previous food service experience preferred 
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions 
• Must speak, read, and understand English

Certification:

• Must obtain Food Handler Certificate within 60 days of hire.
