Responsibilities
- Accurately delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas.
- Delivers "Stat" doses to the patient care areas.
- Answers incoming calls, assisting with patient questions.Â
- Fills physician orders, medication carts, and stock requisitions accurately.
- Repackages and tadpoles medications safely and accurately per established procedures using appropriate process.
- Restocks Pyxis machines and maintaining correct inventory of stock.Â
- Checks and records temperature and/or humidity of refrigerators and various areas. Or any other duties as assigned Department/Service Quality and PerformanceÂ
- Completes and documents all assigned medication storage area inspections at least monthly.
- Identifies and replaces outdated and unusable medications.Â
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
Experience:
- 1 year of retaiol pharmacy experience preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Valid driver's license
- Must obtain Pharmacy Technician license upon hire, licensed in IA & IL
- PTCB Certification within 12 months of hire
