- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of guest rooms, suites, and assigned areas in accordance with hotel standards and brand expectations.
- Conduct detailed self-inspections of completed rooms to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and functionality meet quality requirements before releasing rooms for guest occupancy.
- Identify, report, and follow up on maintenance issues, safety hazards, and equipment deficiencies to ensure a safe and comfortable guest environment.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail when inspecting room amenities, linens, furnishings, and guest supplies to ensure all items are properly stocked and presented.
- Consistently achieve and maintain high quality scores during internal audits, management inspections, and brand evaluations.
- Utilize established inspection checklists and operational procedures to verify compliance with housekeeping standards and cleanliness protocols.
- Support the training and mentoring of team members by demonstrating best practices in cleaning techniques, room presentation, and self-inspection processes.
- Accurately document room status updates, inspection results, maintenance requests, and inventory needs using hotel systems and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with Housekeeping Supervisors, Front Desk, and Engineering teams to ensure timely room readiness and outstanding guest satisfaction.
- Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement by taking ownership of room quality and proactively correcting deficiencies before guest arrival
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning chemicals, and hotel cleanliness standards.
- Excellent eye for detail and ability to identify quality deficiencies.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule. This may include some evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Basic level of English is required.
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience with quality assurance or self-inspection responsibilities preferred.
- Ability to push, pull, lift up to 40lbs.
- Ability to kneel, crouch and reach.
- Walk up to 8 hours per shift.
- Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
