Responsibilities
- Execute complex pastry items such as laminated doughs, plated desserts, and specialty cakes.
- Monitor quality and presentation standards for all pastry products.
- Train and mentor junior pastry cooks on techniques and procedures.
- Assist in seasonal dessert menu development and suggest improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production for service.
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Prepare pastry items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards
- Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not prepare beyond estimated needs
- Operate and maintain clean kitchen equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–4 years of pastry experience in a high-volume or fine-dining environment.
- Proficiency in advanced pastry techniques and decorative skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead by example.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of international cuisine.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to push, pull lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities. This includes holidays and weekends.
- Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
