About the location:

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of Basecamp Ski Shop, rentals, and related recreational facilities.
• Develop and implement ski/snowboard activities and programs that enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain high visibility in recreational facilities, engaging with guests and employees ensuring service standards.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate Basecamp staff.
• Track departmental performance metrics, guest feedback, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
• Review daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of V.I.P’s and return guests, groups, etc.   
• Enforce all health, safety, and resort policies related Basecamp operations.
• Manage the department budget, including payroll, labor, expenses, and revenue targets.
• Collaborate with other departments (Front Desk, Concierge, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Security) to ensure seamless operations.
• The ability to resolve guest complaints, troubleshoot issues, and interact with guests in a positive manner.
• Assist in administration duties such as scheduling, payroll, ordering, and disciplinary actions, performance reviews and
• Have detailed knowledge of the Jackson area including  leisure activities, sightseeing tours and attractions.  
• Provide information about Jackson Hole Mountain resort, other local ski hills, ticketing, reservations and conditions.
• Position is seasonal for Winter 2026-2027 season.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recreation Manager candidates must be motivated and have a positive attitude.
• Previous experience in a leadership role in recreation or leisure within a luxury resort or hospitality environment.
• Expertise in skiing or snowboarding required.
• Previous ski and retail shop, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule required in order to accomplish all major responsibilities. This includes evenings, weekends and holidays. 
• This position requires the ability to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs.
• Legal work authorization in the United States
