About the Role:
The Banquet Bartender plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional beverage service during banquet events, ensuring guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience. This position requires the preparation and serving of a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Banquet Bartender must maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety while adhering to all regulatory requirements. Effective communication and collaboration with banquet staff and management are essential to coordinate service and meet event timelines. Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bartender, preferably in banquet or event settings.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
- Capability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Legal eligibility to serve alcoholic beverages in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., BASSET).
- Experience working in a high-volume banquet or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of a wide range of cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage pairings.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve beverages promptly and accurately according to event specifications and guest preferences.
- Operate point-of-sale systems to process transactions efficiently and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and banquet staff to ensure smooth service and address any special requests or concerns.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including serving guests, restocking inventory, and coordinating with team members during high-volume events.
